Organization profile and avatar

Add an organization image, set branding, and confirm basic organization settings.

A clear organization profile (name + image) makes it easy to spot which product or brand you're working on—especially if you manage multiple organizations in initdesk.

Steps

  1. In the web app, use the sidebar bottom menu and go to Settings → General.

  2. Under Organization image, click and select a square image (logo or product mark). Save changes.

  3. Confirm the organization name. Adjust if needed and Save.

Verification

  • After saving, your org image should appear in the app header and help you quickly identify the active organization.

  • If you manage multiple organizations, the uploaded image will appear when switching orgs.

Edge cases & recovery

  • If upload fails: try a smaller file (under 2 MB), PNG or JPG. If the UI rejects the image, refresh the Settings page and retry.

  • If the image doesn’t appear immediately, log out and sign back in or clear the browser cache.

When to use

  • Create a distinct organization image per product if you support multiple apps or brands (the Indie Hacker case uses different orgs to keep contexts separate).
